Daniel Kaufman

Daniel Kaufman NYCFrom growing up in a small suburban town in Massachusetts, to living in the bustling city of New York. Daniel Kaufman made a name for himself succeeding all around the world. Now based out of Brooklyn, New York, Daniel has found his home.

Daniel understood that living in a major city was the only way to thrive in what he loved, computer software. During the course of his life and career Daniel has traveled and visited a handful of cities and countries, but eventually ended up in New York City. Even though he is living in one of the largest cities in the world, Daniel still sticks to his local roots by supporting his local community in Brooklyn and local street art, businesses, etc.

Kaufman first moved to New York in the late 1990’s and moved to the borough of Brooklyn. When he moved he bought a space and renovated it designed to exactly what he dreamt of, with beautiful street art and vibrant colors on his walls. Daniel explained, “The second I arrived to New York I knew this was the city for me and I would spend the rest of my life here. The people, the work, and atmosphere all just go hand in hand and work.” What Daniel loved the most was the urban aspect which the city offered. He loved the idea of being able to renovate his apartment rooftop into an urban agricultural garden where he currently harvests his own fruits and vegetables.

Daniel also started his own company in New York City, Brooklyn Labs, which develops and builds mobile apps. The growing demand for his service in New York helped Brooklyn Labs grow rapidly. Besides the thriving career Daniel has in the city, it is important for him to give back to all urban communities. New York is not the first major city Daniel has lived in, in the past he has worked and lived in both Detroit and London. While staying in those other cities he helped renovate and develop the inner urban area of Detroit and London. He hopes to continue this help in New York, and he is taking steps to accomplish his goal by supporting local markets and people. Daniel said, “Having a strong local community where people and businesses support one another is important to help keep crime away and keep local jobs.”

Being from Massachusetts, he naturally grew up a Boston sports fan, even though he is still a member of Red Sox and Patriot nation. He still enjoys New York sports and is a fan of his local Brooklyn Nets and soon to be Brooklyn Islanders. He also enjoys the outdoor sports which are easily accessible in the city. Daniel loves to run and bike through Prospect Park on his free time. He also has ran the New York Marathon and hopes to continue to run in the upcoming years.

Daniel Kaufman will be in and around New York City for years to come. If you see Daniel at a Nets game, charity event, or running the marathon, make sure to say hello!
